Well it went off without a hitch, well unless you count the videographer canceling. Went through three people and through all the confusion he didnt know what the plans were for today. Fortunately we have a HD video camera we use for all our shoots so we shot stills and video. Summer Alexis, the model, was great ended up being freezing. Extremely windy but didnt complain once, even I got cold at the end of the day and for an Englishman to complain about the cold you know it had to be a bit on the chilly side.

The hard work paid off and we got some great images, even the video wasnt bad. Now its in the hands of the retoucher, Always makes me nervous to hand off my babies for someone else to put there vision to what I shot, but its the nature of the beast I guess.

So finally get to shoot our first savvy.com spread. Everyone’s schedule was so screwed up that no matter what date and time was choosen it didn’t work for 50% of who were needed. But we’re a go for Sunday, going to go shoot at Pescadero Beach. I love that location, its always empty so obviously makes for a great location.

This weekend we shot Summer Alexis for Savvy. She is the winner of the “Is She Hot” contest, and in addition to being hot she was an absolute sweetheart and total trooper to boot; We shot in Pescadero Beach (south of Half Moon Bay), which was chilly to say the least! I’m excited to see the pictures once they’re up on savvy.com, and look forward to the opportunity to work with savvy models again in the future!

Well, Vegas turned out to be a learning experience at best… not quite what I’d expected, but I was proud of my work, received high praise from the judges, and my model was by far the biggest crowd pleaser and photo op – passer bys were busting out cel phones to snap a shot! That was warm and fuzzy.

Well I’m here in Atlanta for the premier of Best of Best 3, Its great to hang out with all the new friends I made in Primm.

So I was amazed to find out I won not only best photography but also for the best individual image. I thought I was in for a chance at best photographer, although its hard to really tell especially as being a reality show its not just going to about the quality of your images. The best image thing totally threw me, If nothing else I figured someone else would win it just because they wouldnt want to give all the spoils of victory to a single person.

I want to take a chance to thank everyone that made it possible for me to win this the models especially Ginger, Jocelyn, and Hilda. Candace Corey and her great makeup team. Without them I would have been shooting landscape and everyone know I can’t shoot that stuff to save my life.
